The girls go home

This post is LONG over due, but I was having a hard time posting it. The girls have been successfully in their foster homes now for almost two weeks. From what I hear they are doing great. I got to see three of the four girls last Wednesday at class and they all looked fantastic (OK so I am biased). Here area few pictures of their pick up day.

I plan to continue to post here and there when I get updates on the girls or something FANTASTIC happens to Hula (who by the way has recovered and has gotten her girlish figure back already)

Photo shoot pictures

I recieved the disc with the pictures from the photo shoot and all I have to say is WOW. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Michael and Angela!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will treasure the photos

PAWS or bust

With one final tank up from mom The girls loaded up in the van and have been delivered safely to PAWS and are doing GREAT in the kennel. Using their back kennel (like they are suppose to) as their "break" area and keeping their front area clean as a whistle.

It is extremely quiet around the house, my house LOOKS HUGE with all of the puppy toys and beds and jungle gym gone.

It dawned on Hula around 10 last night that they were not coming back and she started searching for them. Only not to find them. Today she is back to her old crazy self. Her maternity leave is up and will be going back to work tomorrow. She will be happy to see her people.

Thank You

As we get ready to take the girls into PAWS today we would like to thank you all who have followed the blog, it has been fun to write and maintain. We would like to give a GREAT big thank you to all of you how came to the house to visit and socialize the puppies. Sometimes it was crowded in the house but we wouldn't have had it any other way.

From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU TO YOU ALL. Please keep the girls (and us)in your thoughts as they transfer into the kennels and eventually to their Foster Puppy Homes.

Our last evening together

Sunday evening was our last evening with the puppies and it was just pure pandemonium. Lots of playing, lots and lots of cuddling and puppy kisses. The time has gone far too quickly (never thought it would). I am not ready for them to go, but just last night I saw it in Hula's face. She is ready. The play of the night was the jungle gym. Get ready to laugh, the girls were cute.

Sneak Peak

We got a look at some of the photo's that were taken on Friday of the girls. Oh my word, be still my heart. The girls are just darling and well Michael and Angela out did themselves. There will be more pictures later in the week but for now, here are just a few. (by the way we only have 34 more hours with the babies here, very sad the time has gone WAY too fast).

What a day

Friday was a very exciting and fun day for the girls. A fun day that landed them in complete exhaustion. First we headed to Peyton's raisers son elementary school where they got to be loved on by a whole bunch of people, there first REAL public appearance. All the kids sat in a circle and passed the puppies around in tummy time. Very sweet. PLUS we did a group picture. I will have to depend on Michael to get a picture to me for the blog as I was watching puppies and didn't have the camera out.

After the fun with the kids we headed back the Michael and Angela's house for a photo shoot of the girls. (and Peyton got the opportunity to see where she will be living for the next year) Lets just say there was one moment during the shoot that brought me to tears, I won't say what it was, you will see the pictures.

When we finally got home the girls were just totally out (though they slept through most of the photo shoot.) A bomb could have gone off in my house and they would not have budged.

Hula tagged along as she is in LOVE with Michael as it was evident when we got to their house because he had golden shadow all day long. She was one happy camper. Even more so when the boys got home.

Here are a few shots of life after a LONG LONG day!

Working hard for their money (kibble)

Tuesday the girls went to work with me as we had a new raisers orientation at PAWS. They played all day and then made their appearance at the orientation. They were the hit of the night but being so popular is exhausting. The ride home was a quiet one

Happiness

There is nothing in the world that won't put a smile on your face like a happy puppy. So four should just make you all out giggle. Enjoy!

Crating 101

We started "crating" the moment they crawled out of the whelping box, not in the usualy crate, we have a little tent that looks like a cate, a soft sided tent type things that looks like it is from the movie MASH, so the girls have been readily going into these items to take thier litte doggy naps. Today, was the big test, were they ready for regular crate. So I took the plunge and while I was cooking dinner (and they were already asleep) I gingerly put them in the crate closed the door and crossed my fingers (and tip toed away). To my delight they zonked for about an hour and a half. Things went well, I heard them stir and race to grab them as we are working on going out side to "break". It is like a thundering herd to the door. We made it out side on the deck and they all peed. PARTY on the deck!

.

Comfy Cozy

After the visitors today the puppies got plunked down in the middle of the dog bed. It sure does look comfy cozy. They stayed like this for some time. Thank you to Peyton's raisers for coming over again, and for Rachelle and Paula. They puppies appreciate it and so do I!

A Major Break Through

Through this entire puppy process, we have neglected to talk about Gene and Trapper our keeper dogs. Gene is a semi-retired service dog that Doug and I adopted 6 years ago (Gene will be 11 this year) and Trapper is one of our Foster Puppies that career changed for a bum hip. He is currently my demo dog and educates the public on PAWS. These two gentle giants DO NOT LIKE PUPPIES. Especially Gene. He hates them. We had a major break through. Today Trapper decided to play with the puppies. He let them crawl on him, tug on his tail, bite at his face etc. I secertly think he loves the puppies.

Now Gene on the other hand I know DOES NOT LIKE the puppies at all. Today he let Miss Purple snuggle up to him. WOW. Each day is a new day

Revenge on the Vet

On Friday the girls took another car ride to PAWS to see the Vet, well it was suppose to be just Miss White (all is well with her)but I decided to take all four. Glad I did, due to them being 6 weeks old they were able to get their first shots... YEAH! After the vet visit, Dr Jeanne decided to need to a break and came in the play room with the puppies. So the tumbled and jumped on her, bit at her (which they promptly got corrected for) and had fun.

We also had more visitors yesterday. Thank you Nancy, Chelle and baby Blake for your visit and Kay who is receiving Miss Puprle (Flora).

The girls are also getting the hang of going outside to go potty. Though it is cold out they LOVE it and we have a hard time getting them back in the house.

Saturday's adventure, probably introduce a collar and leash. FUN.

Up Up and Away

Nothing stops the girls, not even steps anymore! Today three of the girls decided to try the stairs. Good going up, very clumsy coming down... Fun to watch.

We only have 10 days left with the girls. We are sure going to miss them''

It's a whole new world!

Well it was warm as it could be for March, so we took the plunge and let the little girls out side. What a hoot. They had so much fun. I could barely get them back inside. The ran they played, the jumped in the snow (and ate the snow) AND they all pottied outside.. YEAH. Lots of cheering from us for sure..
My little snow bunnies!

Play Play Play Sleep Sleep Sleep

Today was another day of per pandemonium at the house. My house looks like Petsmart threw up in it. The puppies run a muck in the house the big dogs gated in the living room for their safety. Would I have it any other way.. HELL no! The girls have gained so much confidence, they are in their routine and loving it.

When they sleep they sleep hard, usually the three F girls sleep near each other and well Peyton is my lone wolf when it comes to sleeping, I just think she gets really hot, she has quite the coat. BUT tonight, she allowed two of the F's to snuggle with her. Very rare.
