Puppy Wranglers and Beauty Shots

Just by chance Ken and Mary stopped by for a little snuggle the puppies. I roped them into helping me with a mini photo session. I always try to do one set of photos with a themeWith Peyton it was sand buckets and sunglasses, with the MASH litter is was a fall theme and now the N's I wasn't sure what to do and then it dawned on me DUH!, Fourth of July, Independence Day. You be the judge. Thanks Mary and Ken for the help I do appreciate it.

Visitors galore!

Saturday was the day for even more visitors. The family that is going to raise "Norton" came to visit, I think they fell madly in love with the boys. Not sure who "Norton" is but he will be loved big time. "Rosie's" family (from Hula's second litter) came to visit also. Naya fell madly in love with one of the twins, the feeling was mutal. I had to pat her down when she left just to make sure that Naya wasn't tucked away in one of her tiny pockets (just kidding, but the two definatley had a bond). "Norm's" raisers came for another round of visits. They were last to arrive and the puppies were pretty much zonked. Matter of fact they have been zonked for the rest of the day. Our neighbors stopped by to watch the Wings game and had a little snuggle with the puppies. The pictures of today will have to wait, watching the Wing's put me behind. What is on the agenda for tomorrow. GRASS for the first time! Stay tuned

Firsts, Laughter and LOVE

I could decide what to blog tonight so I am rolling three into one. We had a first tonight, Mr Green (our biggest puppy) took his first climb. Meaning he started working on the stairs and successfully completed the first step. He was proud of himself, walking around all pumped up. We are very proud.. He was AWESOME

Some Laughter came into play with Mr Orange. He was playing and playing, I had the camera on his level and I swear he looked at me and just started to laugh. You judge for yourself.

Last but never least, LOVE. Doug and Mr Red sharing a moment of kisses. Very very Sweet.

More visitors

Today was a great day for the puppies. They gain more confidence each day, we are watching them run and interact more with people. Speaking of people we had more visitors today. Julie and Brenda will be raising Naya (ok so we will have to let it slide that Julie is a Michgan fan as Naya is being raised a Norte Dame fan the first 8 week of her life (GO IRISH)). I think it was love at first sight. The second set of visitors is the family that is housing stud dog Evan. Thanks to both families for stopping by. Looking forward to seeing you again. The puppies were wiped out and slept for a long long time.

House Call

Tonight some special visitors stopped by the house. Hula's vet and her husband made a house call. Hula blew out with mastitis tonight so she needed some meds. Hula's vet doesn't live to far from us and she wanted to see the puppies so came over. Hula is fine and doing GREAT. The puppies were just waking up. Mr Orange has taken a shine for Jeanne, he kept going to front of the box trying to get her attention. Very sweet. Thanks for the house call!

Excuse me I have a question???

Mr Green has decided to ask if one of his littermates would like to share his toys. The puppies are more confident, more active, and alert. Toys are now the hot item in the whelping box. They are starting to drag them along and play with them. It is amazing as the days go on, they change minute by minute. What an experience.

Memorial Day 2009

Happy Memorial Day everyone. The "N" litter would like to thank all of our Service Men and Woman who have served their country with dignity and honor. Especially those that are family and friends. Thank you for our freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The "N" litter dressed to the nines today for the caledonia parade (which marches right by the house). The puppies were quite the hit and even had people stopping to take pictures.

We hope you all had a wonderful day!

Hitting the Road

Ok so they didn't hit the road but they did hit the front porch. With this being memorial day weekend, we did yard work, what else do you do on Memorial Day weekend. So we decided that we would set the puppies up on porch in an xpen. Here is our outside set up. We also put in a little hiding place for the puppies. they LOVE the little camo soft sided dog house. At one point all 5 boys were in it and Naya was laying on the outside almost rolling her eyes as if to say, can you believe how selfish they are!... The puppies even had their lunch outside. We also introduced the sextuplets to a water bowl. They were a little confused by that but a few of them tried and liked it. They sure enjoyed being outside. They will sleep a ton tonight.

Ready...........Set.............BARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr Blue has found his voice and while we had all the puppies in the living room he stood off to the side and let it rip. Of course he scared himself. But none the less.

The Girls Speak Out

Tonight the girls (meaning Hula and Miss Yellow, who by the way has a name "Naya") has decided to take control of the whelping box. They were bossing the boys around. All of the puppies are not handling the heat as well as we had thought and are really fussy when they are warm. Makes for a long night. Needless to say the fans are going in the whelping room. They are quiet as mice as long as they are cool

Trapper J!

Right now our oldest golden is being left out so to speak. We try to do special stuff with him but we are knee deep in the sextuplets. Every once in awhile he pokes his head in the whelping box and as soon as the puppies wiggle or more he is out of there. This is the first time he came close and stayed close to a puppy. I think he is warning that puppy. "Listen puppy I live here, in about 4 weeks you are out of here!"

Playing Hard, Laughing Hard

The puppies are really active now, playing and interacting with one another and for that matter us too. We can tap on the side of the whelping box and they come running (ok not exactly running but close to it). Doug and I find ourselves sitting at the edge of the whelping box just laughing at them. I guess playing hard makes them giggle more (if dogs do that) but maybe a picture is worth a thousand words.

Smooches Mommy, Smooches

Today the sextuplets got to go into the living room and watch a little tv. They loved all the brightness of the room and were really curious. But that all ended when mommy came into the room. It was all about showing Hula the LOVE!

Snuggle Bugs

Sometimes you just have to snuggle up and hug your sibling. That is exactly what these puppies did. Very cute. The "N"'s are growing by leaps and bounds. A few are approaching 5 lbs at just a little over 2 weeks of age. Bunch of piglets. Tomorrow will be the adventures of the living. Stayed tuned.

Pillow Talk

Each puppy has their own special way to sleep or a special toy to cuddle on. Mr Blue has decided that Uncle Octo is his own special pillow. He does his own little pillow talk too. He does some grunting some groaning and a whole lot of sighing... Very content puppy.

Nosey

With puppies having their eyes open and toddling around, they are beginning to be curious about their world. The camera is a big attraction. They seems to scoot on over to it. A little nosey is what you get.

Oh my was this the cutest thing ever. They seem to be sleeping on their backs with their paws straight up in the air, stiff as a board!

So two paws up to you all!

Eyes Wide Open

Boy can you say that again. On Friday they just had a peak of eyes. Saturday you could see the eyes and now today Eyes Wide Open. It is a whole new world.

I think we all do right now. Yep that is right the babies are peeking at us. Their eyes are starting to open and I predict by late Sunday or Early Monday. Mr Red says HELLO to everyone! (Two posts in one day)

Toys toys and more toys

A great big thank you goes out to half sibs Peyton Ann and Rosie posie puddin pie for sending the sextuplets (that is what I am calling them now)some really GREAT toys. I had to take pictures of them with the new toys. I had to put them up for now as Mama Hula wants to take the toys and hide them. She is nutty
