Bits and Pieces

Here are a few bits and pieces..

Special Visitors Continue

Today a couple of the raisers that are getting the "F" girls stopped by to see them. " Flora"(Miss Purple) is going to be raiser by Kay and Pete. "Fritto" (Miss White) is going to be raised by Rachelle. Miss White is staying in the HQ area because we need to keep track of her medically.

I think the Raisers look rather HAPPY!

5:00 a.m.!

Here is what 5:00 a.m. looks like at our house. The girls were especially loud so I took a look see and when I peeked my head in there they sat with their legs hanging over the edge of the whelping box. They were all quiet so I took them out of the whelping box. FUN TIME. (It is Radar all over again, my second foster puppy was an early riser, no matter what time he went to bed. He was up early. Still is, from what I hear from his client).

Here Kitty Kitty Kitty

We introduced the new play toy, sleeping hut tonight. I got this at IKEA and it looks like a cat. Well see for yourself.

Very Special Visitors

All of the girls' visitors are special to us and the girls. But today we had some very special guests. Because Peyton is an only we were able to assign her to her raisers way before she was born. Today, Michael, Angela, Luke and Logan came today to see Peyton. I think she is in very good hands. I would also like to congratulate Michael, Angela, Luke and Logan for turning in their first Foster Puppy Naya. She was turned in today and I am sure she will do just fine. Big day for the raisers.
Oh yeah, Hula had to be in the picture too. She is in LOVE with the boys.

Grandma and Grandpa

The three adoptee's got a special visit on Sunday. The breeding stock home for Wheatley (the girls' daddy) stopped by for a look see. I hope they are happy with what they saw. They sured seemed happy. Look at the smiles on their faces. Congrats Stacey and Jimmy (on both the puppies and for just being married in December).

Real Food

Today (Sunday the 24th) we introduced real food, well ground up soaked up food. The girls were very neat and clean about it and only Miss Purple stepped in the pan ( and that was only after it was all gone).

Visitors (again)

After taking a day off of visitors (due to Miss White being at the vets and not a happy camper, wanting to get her meds in her for a complete 24 hrs, boy am I glad we did too, she got the major runs from the meds (not a pretty sight))(Thanks Nat for understanding) we started the visitors back up. Doug's mom came for a visit and well you can see how well she loved the babies.

They are also more stable on their feet now, instead of walking we are RUNNING... Still having to back up to run forward. All the girls are venturing further in the house and well exploring every possible inch of space. Not only are they venturing through the house but Miss Peyton has decided to climb out of the whelping box on her own. Let the games begin

(keep reading I am posting several posts today.)

It Is Story Time

Two posts in one day! Wow a record. I purchased this little bear at the end of christmas season. Thought the puppies would love it. Miss Purple had her own voice tonight.

Are we there yet

Today the girls got to go for a car ride. Miss White had to go see the vet as she just wasn't acting right, and it does look like she has a little infection, so instead of just taking her, all the puppies went into PAWS for a look see. Their vehicle of transportation was a laundry basket.

More visitors

The girls had more visitors today. This is what happens when big guys come over for a visit. They turn to mush!

Any place will do

For a nice long nap. I purchase some toy bins from IKEA a long time ago. I got one out for the puppies to roll around in and had put a couple of them in it to see what they would do. So what do they do SLEEP! They will sleep everywhere.

I do believe these pictures are of Peyton. The girls were out playing when I got home from puppy class to night and they made it an entire hour before zonking out.

Cabana Girls Times 5

I know I didn't post last night, I am sorry, I am burning the candle at both ends and will promise to post nightly, it might be way after midnight, but it will be posted.

Last night upon my arrival home way after 8 p.m I first greet the boys (husband included) then the girls, hula first, but last night she just wasn't there prancing around with my slipper in her mouth, so I peeked into the whelping room and look at what I say. No four Cabana Girls but five Cabana Girls. Guess mom needed to get out of the sun too! (heheheeh)

To Sleep OR To Play

We all have seen the video's on America's Funniest Home Video where a kid is mid sentence or just about to take a bite and falls asleep. This video is VERY similar. Poor Miss Purple is trying to sleep but is involved in a little play (but sleep through it) Miss Blue and Peyton decides to play and well Miss Purple just got in the way.

The neat thing about tonight (Monday) is that Hula is now playing with the puppies (play to some but I am actually watching her teach them right from wrong). It is the coolest thing on earth, sorry no pictures of that but I put the camera down to just enjoy it.

Jungle Gym Mommy

When in doubt climb on mom. Today the girls are more active than ever and are really into exploring. But when they got too far they would come scooting back to mom and beat up on her. Very cute.

They all are wagging their tails and one of them is even trying to escape from the whelping box (Peyton) FUN TIME!

Knock Knock, Can The Pupppies Come Out To Play?

Today was visitor day for the girls. The day started with a visit from Mike Sapp CEO of Paws With A Cause and host home for the daddy to Peyton followed up and finishing the day off with a boat load of puppy raisers. The girls took it in stride, but seem to be a bit tired this evening. HEY maybe I will get another full nights sleep..

The other happening of the day is that Miss Peyton wagged her tail when she heard and saw me. Ok maybe that was a coincident, but hey it is my story and I am sticking to it.

Nap in another world

Sorry I didn't post last night but I feel asleep on the couch. First night since puppies were born that I have slept through the night.... Yesterday the girls got to venture out of the whelping box and got to nap in the living, this was so they could introduced to the noise of the tv.. I would make it really loud and then really soft. They all fell asleep and I got to enjoy watching them

All in the Family

Some of you know that Doug (my husband) is a major magnet for dogs. Any dog that crosses our threshold is destine to fall in love with Doug. Well his magic spell has taken effect with the babies... I am just chopped liver..

Also Miss Peyton decided to take on the Octopus. Put up her dukes!

OUCH

We have teeth. We were playing with the puppies tonight and Peyton bit at our fingers and I thought she had something in her mouth and low and behold, her canine teeth are poking through. POOR HULA! Over the weekend I did a little photo shoot. Here are just a few of the photos. FUN TIME!

BARK! GRRRRRRRRRRR! WOOF!

Learning how to be vocal is the game for the night. All the puppies are being very vocal and are really starting to play with each other. Tonight Miss White really found her voice. Just makes me giggle. I get the best stuff after midnight...

Rough life as a future Assistance Dog

Tonight these girls just cracked me up, I got home to find Miss White all sprawled out on her back under the shade cabanna, I saw Peyton on her back, and then Miss Purple and Miss Blue were just snoring. Just a total fun night. Peyton and Miss White are now starting to look up when we talk and Peyton (2 days older than the other girls who were just two weeks old yesterday) is coming towards the edge of the whelping box to come see us. The BIG funny of the night (something I just couldn't get pictures of) is that Miss White and Peyton have decided that it is fun to play tug with Miss Purples leg. That is when they keep their balance. Just all out FUN!

Meet Miss White

What can I say about Miss White, she is sweet as pie but has a little "tude". She is bossy and loud and wants her way right NOW!. But when you pick her up she gives the best little grunts and giggles and snuggles in. It will be interesting to see how she grows up.. Sugar and Spice, she definately has both, just heavy on the spice (hehehe)

Look who is playing

Peyton is starting to hear and she is begining to play. I can't wait for the others to catch up to this age. A two day age difference in puppies is ALOT. Never thought it would be. The fun is about to begin.

Miss Blue

So sorry about no post yesterday as we got NO sleep due to Miss Purple going through a little collic.. NOT FUN. But I would like to introduce you to Miss Blue. She is the middle of the road puppy, not fussy, no quiet, just there. Right on the money when the milk truck comes and fights for her spot under the shade cabanna.. She is a sweet sweet girl.

Diva's do pray

Sometimes I just crack myself up.
I purchased this little couch for a photo prop, thought it was just darling. Then when I started propping the puppies up on it well you can see for yourself. The puppy with the eyes open is Peyton (Miss Diva) and the one praying (I think she is praying for the Milk truck to always be full) is Miss White.

Meet Miss Purple

Time to meet the adoptee's. Today we are introducing Miss Purple. She is the most content of the three that arrived just a week ago. She is the smallest of the three. She eats the most (constantly on Hula) and the one that LOVES to snuggle with Peyton. She has a little giggle that she does when you rub her back (almost a purr). Very sweet

Four Peas In A Pod

You all have heard of two peas in a pod. What about four peas in a pod. This is how I found the girls tonight just before midnight. Just too sweet for words.. (From L to R, Peyton, Blue, Purple, and White)

Puppy LOVE

We see a trend happening over here. Miss Purple and Peyton have buddied up and Miss Blue and Miss Purple team up and well Miss White just is the boss and wants to be left alone. Tonight we had a couple of puppy love moements. One with Peyton and Miss Purple and one the Miss Blue and Miss Purpple.

Very sweet!
